BBQ Sauce

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of tomato sauce base
  • ¼ cup apple cider vinegar or white vinegar
  • 2–3 tablespoons of QBA Traditional Flavor
  • 1–2 tablespoons of molasses or maple syrup (optional, for added sweetness)
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon or yellow mustard
  • 1 tablespoon of QBA Smoky Flavor
  • ½ teaspoon of ground black pepper
  • 1–2 teaspoons of Worcestershire sauce
  • Water or chicken/vegetable broth to adjust consistency (optional)

Preparation

  1. In a small saucepan, mix the base tomato sauce with the vinegar, QBA Traditional Flavor, and molasses.
  2. Heat over medium heat, stir until everything is combined.
  3. I added the mustard, QBA Smoky Flavor, Worcestershire sauce, and black pepper.
  4. Stir well to combine the flavors.
  5. If the sauce is too thick, adjust with a little water or broth until you get the desired consistency.
  6. Lower the heat and let it simmer for 10–15 minutes , stirring occasionally, until it reduces slightly.
  7. Taste and adjust sweetness, acidity or salt to your liking.
  8. Let it cool slightly before serving or storing. Store it in a clean glass jar and refrigerate.
Suggested use:
Use it to marinate meats, brush on while grilling, accompany hamburgers, or as a dip for wings. Now that's pure flavor with attitude!
