Compound Butter

Ingredients

  • 8 oz of butter (NOT margarine) at room temperature
  • 1–2 heads of garlic, finely chopped
  • Fresh chopped parsley (to taste)
  • Spring onion (one or two stalks), chopped
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • 1 tablespoon (or to taste) of QBA Flavor Fine Green Salt

Preparation

  1. Leave the butter out of the fridge until it's soft, but not melted.
  2. Mix in a bowl: garlic, parsley, spring onion and lemon zest.
  3. Add the butter and QBA Fine Green Salt Flavor.
  4. Mix everything until well combined.
  5. Place the mixture on parchment paper, wrap it in a tubular shape, and put it in the refrigerator until it hardens.
  6. When it's firm, slice it as needed.

Usage suggestions

  • On a steak fresh off the grill.
  • To finish, roast or steamed vegetables.
  • Melted on hot bread such as a baguette or arepa.
  • On roasted or cooked corn with lemon.
  • For making scrambled eggs or a quick pasta with amazing flavor.
  • Even to add to white rice and elevate its flavor!
